Website privacy at a glance
This website does not create visitor accounts or use advertising cookies. Optional Google Analytics is off unless you choose to share website usage using the checkbox on the contact form. Our hosting and security providers may process standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamps, to deliver and protect the website.
Contact and beta messages
Beta access requests are submitted to Yapper World Inc. and saved in our website’s Cloudflare-hosted database. We save your name, email address, optional message, optional source answer, submission time and recognized campaign tags from the link you used, such as Instagram and the post ID. We use these records to administer beta interest, contact applicants about availability and understand which campaigns bring requests. Requests are saved whether or not you enable optional analytics. A request does not guarantee access or subscribe you to a general marketing newsletter.
To limit abuse, we temporarily store an hourly keyed hash derived from the network address, an attempt count and an expiry time; we do not put the raw address in the signup database. Other contact topics prepare an email in your email application. If you send it, Yapper and the email providers involved process that message so we can respond.
Optional website analytics
If you opt in, Google Analytics receives events for viewing and starting the beta form and successfully saving a request, plus recognized campaign tags, browser and device information, a cookie-based identifier and approximate location derived from network information. We do not include your name, email, message or full incoming link in these events. Advertising storage and advertising personalization are disabled.
Your choice is saved in this browser. You can turn it off using the same checkbox on the contact form. This stops future analytics collection from this form and clears its Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already received by Google. Campaign tags may be kept in session storage while you browse so they can accompany a beta request. Beta requests are separate from optional analytics and remain saved when you turn analytics off.
The Yapper app
Yapper is still in development. Beta features, service providers, and app data practices may change before public release. The app may process account and profile details, watch activity and preferences, community content and reports, and device or diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. These practices will be described in a complete Privacy Policy before broader access.
In builds that support optional usage analytics, sharing is off by default. If you turn it on, Google Analytics for Firebase receives interaction events, app and device information, an app-instance identifier and approximate location. These events exclude your messages, search text, imported lists, credentials and Yapper account ID. Turning sharing off in Settings stops future collection and resets local analytics data; it does not automatically delete reports already received by Google.
Your choices
You may ask us to stop beta-related email, request information about a prior message, or ask about deletion by writing to dev@yapper.world. Beta participants will also receive information about app-level account controls when access is provided.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when website or beta practices materially change. The date above identifies the latest version. This pre-launch notice is not a substitute for the complete app Privacy Policy planned before broader access.
